Let me first start by saying, "I have nothing against Neymar".  I love watching him rack up the points at Santos, mohawk and all.  Yes, he's young, flamboyant, a goal scorer, and a hefty price tag to pick up.  All of that is both why he's good and why he shouldn't be picked up by Barcelona.  At least according to the rumor mill floating around the star and his some 40 million plus euro price tag.  Neymar's young.  Barca has their own camp stocked full of young good possibly great talent that they are grooming in the Barca style.  He's a goal scorer.  Sure he is but again we have a ton of goal scorers.  Do we really, really need another one.  Neymar's price tag.  I wouldn't say it's outrageous.  He's worth it for some team but again.  Barca's salaries are already through the roof and even being one of the worlds top clubs.  How much more money can Barcelona really afford to spend?  Does or didn't Barca have money issues at the beginning of the season like most club around the world?  I guess the last thing is his flamboyant style and demeanor.  When you got it, I guess you can flaunt it.  Good for Neymar.  That attitude may work for everyone in Santos but I guarantee their is no way or place for that style in the Barcelona camp.  I'm not even sure where he would fit in on the field.  Where would he play and who would he replace?  He is a forward after all and we have plenty of those.

Just food for thought.  I did however come up with one good reason Barca would pick up Neymar.  If Barca has him at least R Madrid doesn't.  Even if he may fit in best there.  I can't see the price tag being enough to justify that though.  Could it?  Honestly I'm surprised this isn't being publicised more.  After all he is probably one of the most exciting players to come out of Brazil in a while.  Not the only.  Just to clarify.

Any thoughts?  Help me see the pros.  If there are any, or help me add to the cons.  I just don't see it.
