Reports out of Spain tonight suggest, that FC Barcelona in advanced negotiations to sign Sporting Gijon player Jose Angel Valdes.
Jose Angel looks to be the first summer signing for Barcelona though the deal is still in negotiations and not official. Sporting has reportedly accepted a four million Euro bid from Barcelona for the young left-back with personal terms now the only thing left to be negotiated between the player and Barcelona.
Jose Angel or Cote, as he is called, is expected to sign a 4-year deal with Barcelona within the next week and the official statement from the club is expected within the same time frame. Jose Angel, 21, is an U-21 Spanish International and is one of Sportings most promising youngsters with close to 50 appearances in La Liga.
