Well
There are four defenders above, and Seedorf, Ambrosini, Boateng and Nocerini are midfielders, but all CMs. That means 4-4-2 in some form, but more likely 4-2-2-2.

That would have never happened with a sweeper.
But hindsight is 20/20 and we might benefit from the fact that we are matching their system with more width and variation.

So we’re sort of slanted in the midfield with Alves running up and down the line trying to drag Milan out of shape.
