Carles Puyol Ruled out for 2 Months

And there you have it - the official time Carles Puyol will be out of commission. This is actually the second consecutive game a FC Barcelona player has been ruled out for two months - first Thiago tore his MCL and now Puyol dislocated his elbow.

Puyol will undergo a conservative treatment plan and won't need surgery to repair the damage to elbow. All things considered Puyol can nonetheless consider himself a lucky man because there have been no reports of serious ligament damage - and clean elbow dislocations are very rare.

Puyol, being a "freak of nature" he is, could once again return from the injury sooner than anticipated, like he did from the other two injuries he picked up this season.
