El Clasico Poll: Should Cristian Tello Start Against Real Madrid?

Stay connected for news and updates

It didn't go too well the last time we tried it, but do you think Tello is ready to start against Los Blancos?

No-one quite expected Cristian Tello to start on Sunday, but the majority of us are glad he did. Positioned out on the left-wing for 75 minutes before switching to the right-hand side to accommodate David Villa, Tello put in a fantastic performance, laying on two goals for his teammates. While it’s almost certain that he started because of the concerns over the fitness of Alexis Sanchez, Tello performed so well that it might be considered harsh if Tito demoted him right back down to the bench. So, the question is, should Cristian Tello start on Thursday against Real Madrid?

Given that David Villa played an hour in Monday’s defeat to Sampdoria in the Joan Gamper Trophy, so one can assume that El Guaje is unlikely to be risked and with Isaac Cuenca still on the sidelines, Barcelona only have two other viable options – Pedro and Alexis Sanchez. With that in mind, do you think Tito should start Cristian Tello in tomorrow’s El Clasico?
