We are three matches into the new season, and already it is difficult to ascertain just who Tito Vilanova has selected as his first-choice left-back. Summer signing Jordi Alba was expected to nail down a starting position, and thus far he has started both of Barcelona’s league matches. However, neither match has come against "tough" opposition per se, and in the midweek Clasico it was Adriano who got the nod.

So the poll for today asks this: if you were Tito Vilanova, who would you select at left-back in Wednesday’s clash with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu? Adriano is arguably the better option if Vilanova wants to create a solid back-line, while Alba is the obvious choice if the Catalans wish to take the game to Los Blancos. With a slender lead from the first leg, each approach has its benefits and its drawbacks; who would you choose and why?

Note: Only one person correctly predicted the final score of yesterday’s clash with Osasuna, so congratulations to mystyfly (@fabianfurger)!
