Stealing the headlines last night was Cristiano Ronaldo with his bombshell that he was unhappy with Real Madrid, for reasons he would not disclose. The Spanish media have all gone crazy over the situation: why is he unhappy? Why did he go public with his grievances? While some papers try to play down the reports, others such as Sport have taken it to an extreme claiming that Ronaldo wants to leave the Bernabeu as a result. Personally, I feel it’s probably just a ruse for Jorge Mendes to negotiate his star client a better contract, but as a Culé, I pray that these reports are true.
