First of all, Jordi Roura is not a coach. Tito has to come back or the club has to hire a real coach. He couldn't even coach a third division team.
With the game almost over, the score is 3-0 Madrid. Barcelona is crumbling and there are obvious reasons why.
1. Shaping the system around Messi is proving to be the downfall of Barcelona. Somewhat.
Ok, they are not failing to win games and they are on course to win La Liga, but since the team has been shaped around Messi, he scores the most and assists the most. This is good for him, but our 2nd best attacker plays LW or sits on the bench instead of playing. With the system based on Messi, we have to rely on wingers that will score, and Pedro and Sanchez aren't doing this. I'm not saying they need to change the system, but teams have figured out how to stop our attack. They should look to revamp the style and add a striker WHO FITS THE SYSTEM. I'm not talking about another Ibrahimavic, but a younger Villa who can be included in the same starting lineup as Messi.
I'm sorry Puyol, but you're too old. We love you and you give your heart and soul every game, but as the game becomes more athletic, you're behind. Barcelona has to buy a real CB this summer. Not another converted defensive midfielder. Mascherano had one good season yes but out of that we won one trophy (not including Club World Cup or Uefa Supercup).
Pique is a bit overrated. You can't deny it. He was part of the winning teams since Pep brought him back yes, but when has he actually shown he was worldclass? He is still a great defender, but not the best in the world. Puyol saved him countless times and also Ramos, like at Euro 12. Don't get me wrong; he is a great defender on his game, but I think many of us Barca fans rate him too highly.
Mascherano/Song are not defenders. That's it.
Barcelona can still win, but so far this year, they haven't been stellar against top European teams. Bayern Munich, Madrid, Dortmund, Juventus, and Manchester United would all probably beat Barcelona. Take Messi out of the game, essentially eliminate all attacking threat. We shouldn't get rid of our players like Xavi and Puyol, but a revamping of the team like AC Milan has done might help if we brought in younger players, mixed with our current stars, and brought in needed players such as a real CB, a forward or two, and a keeper for Valdes when he leaves.
