I was looking around the network today when I came across this story on the Lion Of Vienna Suite, SBN's Bolton blog. In short, Sam Allardyce claims he had the opportunity to sign Eto'o while he was manager of Bolton back at the start of the millennium. Eto'o playing under Allardyce is a horrible thought anyway (no disrespect to Bolton), but just imagine how different things might have been if Barca missed out on Samuel...
Like most people in this internet age I find myself surfing the net looking for articles and checking twitter, among other things. I also love watching online videos and I'm telling you that ever since I started exploring the videosphere, this has got to be the best video I've ever seen. I urge you to please link me to a better video if you disagree. Who knows, you might change my mind.
Exactly 20 years ago to the day, Barcelona faced off against Real Madrid in the opening fixture of the 1992/93 season. The Blaugrana went on to win the title by a single point, making this victory (back in the days when a win was worth two points) all the more crucial
I answered some questions for SlickR who runs a Valencia blog, feel free to check it out! Also, for those waiting on the Player Ratings for the match, I ran into a few computer troubles, but I hope to have them up within the next day or so
Documentary about Lionel Messi: World's Greatest Player. Without a doubt worth taking 45 minutes to watch it.
SBN's Ryan Rosenblatt explains why you shouldn't miss the 2012 Supercopa de España
Some of you may be familiar with his work (he illustrated Graham Hunter's recent book about the club for example), but I was browsing the net when I stumbled upon Dan Leydon's blog and this fabulous comic on Xavi. He's done others, such as this one on Lionel Messi, although my particular favourite is the comic on Iniesta. Anyway, thought I'd share his great work!
The senior team were not the only ones in action last night, and they were not the only ones to draw as Eusebio's B team were held to a 1-1 draw by Segunda Division B side UD Logrones. Javi Espinosa got the equaliser from the penalty spot in a game that also saw the débuts of Agostinho Ca and Sergio Araujo.
A nice piece from Marca
Via VillarrealUSA - It seems like La Liga may start with another strike due to problems with the TV deals...
