Welcome to the first of a new weekly segment on the site dedicated to the B team. This segment will detail the league table, the latest result (hopefully with match highlights), the top scorers of the season and people I believe can make the jump to the first team.
After many played on Tuesday night against Rubin, the team that took to the field on Wednesday against the league leaders Betis was not the first choice by any means. Platers such as Bartra, Fontas, Jonathan and Victor Vazquez were rested and others like Carmona and Rochina came in.
Match Summary - Real Betis 2 - 2 F.C. Barcelona B
On kick-off it was 1st against 4th and Betis gave themselves a two-goal cushion through goals from Ruben Castro and Roversio, and kept it that way until the final 15 minutes of the game, when well-deserved goals from Nolito and Oriol Romeu levelled the scores. This denied Betis a 7th consecutive home win in the league and made sure that everyone knew that this team can compete with anybody.

Players Ready for the First Team
I believe that given the injuries to Bojan and Jeffren, Nolito will be given more playing time as he has earlier in the season.
Other players like Jonathan and Thiago have become fringe 1st team players and it is only a matter of time before they are promoted on a permanent basis. It is also fair ro believe that after his midweek goal, Victor Vazquez can expect to see some game-time in the upcoming Copa del Rey fixtures.
I personally would like to see Fontas and Muniesa given more chances in the senior side, as they are the potential heirs to Puyol's place in the defence.
