In their last league game in 2010, Barcelona will travel to Espanyol for the Catalunya derby. Carles Puyol predicted that this will the toughest match of the season and, on paper, he is right.
Espanyol are currently fourth in the league and have won all their seven home matches! However, Barcelona have also won their seven away matches. The blaugrana are huge favorites for this match at the Cornellà-El Prat stadium and should put an end to Espanyol's perfect home form.
But it won't be as easy as it looks. For Espanyol, this is the match of their season and they'll give 1000%. In fact, under Pep, Barcelona have never managed to get all six points from Espanyol in a league season. Last season, a 0-0 draw in a match where Barcelona played really bad.
Tomorrow is a great chance for redemption, as Barcelona have been in fantastic form, having scored 26 goals (and conceeded none) in their past five matches. A win at the Cornellà-El Prat will mean that Barcelona will end the year in first place.
Knowing the hunger and desire that Barcelona players always show, there's little doubt that they will get the job done, even if Espanyol won't make life easy.
