Welcome to the second instalment of the Barcelona B update! Hope you all enjoyed the first one, but let’s get it going on with all things B!
Once again, the team had a challenging away game against a former Primera Division team; this time in the form of Albacete, who have endured a poor start to the season. Some of the players who have featured against Rubin were once again at Luis Enrique’s disposal.
Match Summary
If having back-to-back away games wasn’t bad enough, they once again fell behind by two goals, thanks to goals from Asen and Tato. This was unfair to the team, considering that they were dominating possession and having the better chances.
However, the team showed magnificent resilience to equal the score and for the second time in five days, earned a draw away from home. The goals were scored by Nolito and Soriano, who are fast becoming prolific scorers at this level. On another day, it would’ve been a landslide victory for the B team, but no-one ever said football was about deserving the win.

Players Ready for the 1st Team
On Wednesday Pep has the chance to show the world what the newest La Masia graduates can do with the Copa del Rey match versus Bilbao. It will be a tough game, but one that we should win. I would like to see a mix of 1st team players and B team players, with my ideal starting line-up being something like this:
Pinto
Bartra - Pique - Fontas - Adriano
Thiago - Mascherano - Keita
Nolito - Bojan - Pedro
Here's hoping for a win on Wednesday, and for everyone involved with the blog to have a Merry Christmas.
