2010 has been a great year for Barcelona and their fans. Our beloved team has broken record after record and the players have earned award after award.
Also, in October, the best Barcelona blog around (no offense to the other blogs) finally kicked into gear. In less than three months, we've reached over 50.000 page views and we already have 116 members.
If you haven't become a member yet, what are you waiting for? Being a member of Barca Blaugranes has all sorts of advantages: you can comment and interact with Barcelona fans from all over the world and you can suggest new sections you'd like to see in our blog. All suggestions will be taken into consideration.
More importantly, you can use the FanPost section to share interesting Barcelona news you've found on the web or, better yet, a piece of your own. The best pieces will be published on the front page, while the most brilliant writers will be offered a chance to become contributors. That is exactly what happened with Bostjan Cernensek, who used the FanPost section and was eventulally promoted to Contributing Writer.
Alternatively, you can send a sample of your writing to barcablaugranes@gmail.com, which is what Arron Duckling did.
We already have two more writers but we're always looking to add new members to our team. If you're passionate about Barcelona and fancy your writing skills, just go for it. Even if your writing skills aren't enough to join the team, one of us will work with you in order to help you improve (if you're interested, of course).
Age and nationality are no barrier in this blog. I'm Portuguese, Nick is American, Adi-Oula Sebastian is German, Bostjan is Slovenian and Arron is English. Plus, we all belong to different age groups (15-32). The only requirements to write for Barca Blaugranes are a passion for Barcelona and good writing skills.
So please become a member and join us in 2011, in what promises to be a truly remarkable year for our beloved club. On January 10, three Barcelona players will be officially named as the three best players on the planet. What better way to start the New Year?
