La Liga: Barcelona Looking to Rewrite History Against Malaga

Tomorrow's game against Malaga will be Barcelona's last game in the first half of the season and also the first one to be covered by a live match thread here on Barca Blaugranes, meaning that YOU will be kept updated of everything that will happen and will have the opportunity to share your views with us and Barcelona fans all around the world.

It just so happens that this is a match where Pep Guardiola's Dream Team has a chance to rewrite the history books, just like they had in the glorious 2008/2009 season.

If Barcelona win tomorrow, they'll end the first half of the season with 52 points (17 wins, one draw and one defeat), which will not only be a La Liga record, but an European record. The current record belong to Barcelona 2008/2009 with 50 points.

Barcelona have scored 57 goals in 18 matches so far. If they score three more tomorrow (meaning that they only need to keep their average), they'll end the first half of the season with 60 goals, thus beating the previous La Liga record (59 by... Barcelona 2008/2009).

In order to beat these records, Pep Guardiola should field a very strong XI tomorrow, in a day that promises to be historic for Barcelona. The sky is the limit for Pep Guardiola's Dream Team!
