All Guardiola speculations can now be put to rest as the Barcelona boss agreed on signing a one year contract extension with Barcelona. He will sign the contract "in the next few days", but all the details have already been agreed on.

The official statement read: "FC Barcelona announce that they have reached an agreement with Josep Guardiola to renew his contract with the club for another season, until the 30th of June 2012,"

Guardiola was hired as the first team coach on 5 June 2008 and he has since been dubbed as one of the best managers in the world. In his two and a half year managerial career he has entered eight competitions with FC Barcelona and led the team to trophies in eight of them. His contract was set to expire at the end of this season and he had already been linked with clubs from England, Russia and Qatar.
