Bojan’s got a history of fine ends to a season and he seems to have a special affinity for bagging goals against Villarreal. Good news for Barça is that he is again enjoying some great form as the season comes to an end with a trip to Villarreal.

It has been suggested that Arsenal would consider allowing the player to leave at the end of this season, but Rosell has revealed Barca would only be willing to sign the player at the right price.

The absent Éric Abidal was remembered in Luxemburg where the French team came out for the game, which they won 0-2, wearing shirts with the message “Abi, we are thinking of you! Courage!”- another demonstration of the support given to the Barça defender as he recovers from his recent operation.

However, Villa has remained modest amidst all of the accolades and told Spanish daily AS: "I am happy because the goals helped the team get the win. The important thing is that we are close to qualifying for the tournament.

Valdes has conceded just 14 goals –a figure that would leave him top of the Zamora trophy but for the three games he missed with injury -against Atlètico Madrid, Mallorca and Valencia.

“It does not seem to be serious, but we preferred him not to play tomorrow” said the Brazilian squad's spokesperson when they arrived at the Emirates Stadium. Marcelo will return to Madrid on Monday where the Real Madrid club doctors will carry out more tests to rule out any serious injury and calculate the time he will be out, if that is the case.

Chica is currently behind Javi Lopez in the starting XI and admits his relationship with coach Mauricio Pochettino is somewhat strained. "I would like to continue but it would be foolish to say that [I am going to]. I have been at Espanyol for 15 years. We'll see what happens at the end," Chica continued.
