Editor in Chief,
Sebastian
The wait is almost over and we'd be seeing Barcelona in action at Donetsk in just a few hours. I've not been able to see the the team sheet yet but there are strong indications that Afellay might start the game and Messi would be rested.
Pep has insisted that this is no easy game and has dismissed his counterpart's remarks that Shakhtar are almost out of the running for a semi-final spot. Pep emphasizes that the quarter-finals are decided over two legs and that's exactly what he's going to do- try to win the game.
Besides being a quarter-final of the Champions League the game holds a lot of significance as Barcelona do not want to be heading into the Clasico with a negative frame of mind. Its a cold night at Donetsk and Barcelona would certainly try to avoid any injuries.
Shakhtar have been formidable at home and this is no easy game for Barcelona. If Barcelona do decide to rest a couple of players I'd certainly predict a scoring draw, and to be honest the kind of attack Donetsk has, I cannot rule out a defeat for the Catalans.
Fingers crossed, we're winning this one!
