Champions League winners Barcelona are on the verge of successfully concluding negotiations with experienced defender Eric Abidal over a contract extension, AS reports. The 31-year-old's current terms expire in the summer of 2012, but Barca are eager to hold onto the stopper and have offered him a new and improved deal for two extra seasons.
