Fabregas to have Wenger showdown | DailyMail

Cesc Fabregas will meet Arsene Wenger on Tuesday and confirm his desire to leave Arsenal after almost eight years in north London as he seeks to smooth a transfer back to Barcelona before the weekend. Fábregas will make his desire to leave clear, with Wenger expected to accept the time has finally come for the 24-year-old to rejoin his boyhood club.

Bojan move to Roma imminent | Football Italiano

Roma are convinced that the deal to bring Barcelona starlet Bojan to the Stadio Olimpico will soon be confirmed. Roma director Walter Sabatini told Ona FM: "The agreement with the player is total. There are some things to clear with Barcelona. It could all be done on Monday or Tuesday. I am very optimistic."

Fontas promoted | FCBarcelona

FC Barcelona has informed Andreu Fontàs that he will be playing with the first team in the 2011/12 season. His buy-out clause will be automatically raised to 30 million euros. Andreu Fontàs joined the club from Girona in 2007. He played in the youth team for a season, and for Barça B for two and a half years before moving up to the first team.

Swansea City have hit a stumbling block in their pursuit of Barcelona striker Jonathan Soriano. Chairman Huw Jenkins travelled to Spain to hold talks with the player's representatives last weekend, but he returned without striking a deal. 'We were prepared to offer the player an opportunity to join our squad in our first season in the Premier League, but we were not happy with the terms of the deal.'

Reports across Europe suggest wing-back Fabio Coentrao is set to seal his proposed transfer from Benfica to Real Madrid. Spanish newspaper AS reports that Coentrao travelled to Madrid on Monday, while his Benfica team-mates left for their pre-season tour of Switzerland, to hold discussions over signing a four-year contract at the Bernabeu.

Atletico Madrid are set to receive a bid worth £36m from Juventus for their star striker Sergio Aguero. The 23-year old, who is the son-in-law of Argentine legend Diego Maradona, has been at the centre of much speculation this summer with clubs from all over Europe keen on acquiring his signature.

Juanma Ortiz off to Rangers | BBC

Spanish midfielder Juan Manuel Ortiz is in talks about signing for Rangers. The 29-year-old, who was at Rangers' Murray Park training base on Monday, has spent four years at Almeria. Ortiz was a graduate of Atletico Madrid's youth system but spent loan spells with Osasuna and Poli Ejido before heading to Almeria.

Casillas is to be stripped of captaincy | Yahoo

Casillas, who has played over 450 times for the Spanish giants, is the current captain but it is believed that the Portuguese manager is in favour of having an outfield player as his captain.
