On paper, Osasuna shouldn't provide much of a challenge, but the Pamplona-based team is undefeated and has only conceded one goal in two games. Barcelona's defenders will have to pay special attention to speedy winger Juan "Nino" Martinez, who has impressed since joining the club in the offseason.

"We are fine and we are not listening to what people are saying from outside the club. The team was frustrated and it left a bad taste in the mouth (after the Milan game) but we have already turned the page. Before we were not the best and now we are not the worst," said Puyol. "We want to win as much as ever but it is true that we need to be concentrated especially at set-plays. We need to ensure that the opposition don't get the ball and they don't score."

The visitors took the lead after 26 minutes when a neat move started by left back Alejandro Grimaldo ended with striker Miguel Angel guiding a right-footed drive into the corner of the net. Harry Bunn then finished smartly after he had been sent clear by the Spaniard Denis Suarez. But shortly after the break Angel scored the winner - a thumping drive after City had failed to clear a corner.

After only six official matches, no fewer than eight Barça players have already got at least one goal. Strikers Messi, Villa, Pedro and Alexis, and midfielders Cesc, Iniesta, Xavi and Thiago have all found the target.
