Barcelona expects to net €20 million in 2011-12 - -
Club spokesman Toni Freixa said Thursday the club expected to gross ?461.1 million over the 2011-12 season against expenditures of about ?430.2 million and, after discounting several other transactions, the club would be left with a net of ?20.1 million. Barcelona members still have to approve the budget figures at a meeting on Sept. 24.

Espanyol will have to make do without the services of winger Felipe Mattioni for six months because of a knee injury. The 22-year-old, who joined the Barcelona-based club last summer on a five-year contract, has damaged the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will undergo surgery soon.
