Barça’s tenth win of the eleven league games so far this season came in an exciting match, with plenty of goals and chances for both teams and a fightback from the hosts in the second half. The first half saw Barça combine possession and precision in front of goal to go three up before Mallorca hit them with two goals after the break.

After going to the break with a three-goal advantage, the Blaugrana watched as the home team battled back to make it 2-3 early in the second half. On the second 45 minutes of the match, Tito Vilanova said that his players "were a bit cold when they came out onto the pitch," and that Barça "are going through a moment where the smallest errors lead to conceding a goal."
