Xavi doubtful for AC Milan clash -
The influential midfielder featured for only 15 minutes in Barcelona's 2-0 Liga win over Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, and missed Sunday's training session due to a muscular problem. It is not yet exactly known how serious the 32-year-old's injury is, but the Spain international could miss Tuesday's encounter at Camp Nou due to the knock.

Pedro Rodriguez acknowledged this Sunday in the press room of the training ground, that probably, Tuesday's game against Milan, in the return leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League, "is the most important…….it will be a tough game. They won’t make things easy for us and we’ll have to play really well". Pedro recalled the match that the two teams played at the Camp Nou in the group stage, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Pato returned to Italy on Saturday though, and has now been deemed fit enough to feature in Tuesday's encounter in Catalunya.

In an early Sunday kick-off, Diego Simeone's side were fired to victory by all-South American trio Eduardo Salvio, Diego and Radamel Falcao. They move up to seventh, five points behind fourth-placed Malaga.

A disappointing draw at home will inevitably pile more pressure on the underfire Unai Emery, who faces a fight to keep his job with Malaga, Levante, Osasuna and Atletico Madrid all breathing down his team's neck.
