Just like in 2011, Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernández are among the 10 candidates nominated for this year’s Golden Foot Award. The award distinguishes the best active footballer over the age of 29 years old.

FC Barcelona have played in nearly every possible match over the past four years. With Josep Guardiola on the bench, the team have played 247 of the 254 possible matches (97.24%).
