It seems like an eternity since the domestic season finished, and with Barcelona no longer in action (at least for another 50 or so days) I'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms! However, today is the opening day of the UEFA European Championships! For the next couple of weeks there will be two group matches per day, until the start of the knock-out stages and to get us under-way we have co-hosts Poland taking on Euro 2004 winner Greece before the Czech Republic play Russia in the evening fixture. Admittedly Group A is probably the least entertaining on paper, but Poland will be itching to get off to a great start in front of their own fans while Russia have looked good in their warm-up games.
Every match-day on Barca Blaugranes we will be posting an open thread for everyone to discuss the games.
