Muniesa is currently in talks with Barcelona over a contract extension, and Overmars is hopeful that he will soon complete his move to the Godenzonen. Valdo scored eight times in his 63 appearances for the Andalucian side during his two-year stint at the club, and played a key role this season as they performed above expectations in finishing in sixth place in La Liga.

Deportivo has unveiled Luís Miguel Afonso Fernandes ‘Pizzi’ as the latest signing of the Galician club. The Portuguese player was loaned from Atletico de Madrid and is pleased with the move: "Deportivo is a historic club. It has a long history and great qualities."

Adrian Gonzalez, the footballer, has committed to Rayo Vallecano for the next two seasons. The young player is 24 years old and grew up in the youth ranks at Real Madrid, the club where he stayed until summer 2007. Previously he was on loan Celta and then pursued his professional career with Nastic Tarragona- also on loan.
