Work is about to start in earnest for Tito Vilanova and his players. As always, medicals have been the order of the day as the players return from a much deserved break. The 14 players all reported to the medical centre at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, and after a series of analyses, they had a morning meal together before heading off more different tests.

Gerard Deulofeu and Àlex Grimaldo, two important players in Julen Lopetegui’s team, won the U19 European championship in Estonia after beating Greece in the final by 1 to 0. The play leading up to the go-ahead goal was orchestrated by Deulofeu, who was a nightmare for the Greek defence.

Muniesa open to Ajax move, claims Overmars - Goal.com
Muniesa is currently in talks with Barcelona over a contract extension, and Overmars is hopeful that he will soon complete his move to the Godenzonen. "Barcelona will meet with Muniesa on Tuesday to discuss a contract extension. As soon as that has been taken care of, a move to Ajax is an option," Overmars told De Telegraaf.

Mexican side Atlante have completed the signing of 31-year old winger Valdo from Levante. Valdo scored eight times in his 63 appearances for the Andalucian side during his two-year stint at the club, and played a key role this season as they performed above expectations in finishing in sixth place in La Liga.

Pizzi, an important signing | LFP
Deportivo has unveiled Luís Miguel Afonso Fernandes ‘Pizzi’ as the latest signing of the Galician club. The Portuguese player was loaned from Atletico de Madrid and is pleased with the move: "Deportivo is a historic club. It has a long history and great qualities."

Amat set for Rayo loan - Yahoo! Eurosport UK
Amat, 20, is expected to move to the suburban Madrid club in a bid to get more first-team football. "I know I must work harder than anyone, as have the other players who have gone out on loan but returned here afterwards," the centre-half said. "It is my goal to return to Espanyol as it is my home, but I have to play more minutes and gain experience.

Adrian Gonzalez, goes to R.Vallecano
Adrian Gonzalez, the footballer, has committed to Rayo Vallecano for the next two seasons. The young player is 24 years old and grew up in the youth ranks at Real Madrid, the club where he stayed until summer 2007. Previously he was on loan Celta and then pursued his professional career with Nastic Tarragona- also on loan.
