The Tito Vilanova era has arrived. The new manager and his team have started strong with a 2-1 win away over SV Hamburg in the first of their five summer European friendlies. In his first game at the Barça helm, Vilanova sent out all eight of his available first-team players - Pinto, Alves, Mascherano, Bartra, Adriano, Dos Santos, Alexis and Afellay- and a compliment of Barça B players - Deulofeu, Espinosa and Sergi Roberto.

Since renewing his contract, the goalkeeper has commented that "I am very happy because of the trust the club has shown me. My hope was to stay at Osasuna and I am very happy".

Valladolid signs Rukavina | LFP
Antonio Rukavina plays in the Serbian national side and comes from the German team 1860 Munich and he will be the new right back at Real Valladolid. The defender, chosen by Miroslav Djukic, with whom he coincided in the under-21 Serbian side who were crowned runners up in Europe in 2007, comes in on a free transfer and has committed to three seasons with Valladolid.

Carmona signs with Sporting | LFP
Carlos Carmona has become the third reinforcement for Sporting Gijon for the next Liga Adelante season. The new "rojiblanco" player trained in the ranks of Mallorca, being the youngest player to debut for the Balearic club. In the 2004-05 season he was on loan to Valladolid, and later in 2006 he signed with Cartagena.
