All the Best.......

Pre season friendlies kind of bring a joyful feeling to you. You have been without football for quite some time, plus you are excited to see the strategy employed by the new coach, and also the performance of the new signings. In our case we had it all. Tito, though like family, has taken over as coach, Jordi Alba has joined the club and also we need time to get used to our new kits. But yesterday's final friendly was different. Villa is back!!!

The joy of seeing the number 7 jersey ready got me on a high. I didn't care about the result or the strategy, the only thing which many other Cules along with me wanted to see is Villa score and celebrate. One step at a time though. Our season's going to start soon and I personally wanted to pass on a message to the team hoping for them to read it. But I cannot do this alone. I need your help here. I want you to post a comment with your best wishes and spread the word. I don't know how successful this would be but there is no harm in trying. Here are the wishes from our Barcablaugranes team.

Gabriel Roberts:

May we regain La Liga crown! After seeing Real Madrid crowned champions last season, I desire this title above all else, knowing it was Pep's priority and hoping it's still the number one goal for FC Barcelona this season.

May Tito be bold enough to take control of this team. All signs point to a smooth transition, and I hope that Tito demands respect from his players and isn't afraid to assert himself and make this team his own. Support from Xavi and Puyol should make this doable.

May Pedro and Villa return to form. These are still the best men for the job at the top of the 4-3-3, despite the exciting youngsters Affelay and Alexis. I believe Villa can still be more than just a super sub, at least for this season, and Pedro just needs consistent minutes to get back to net-ripping form.

May Puyol stay healthy, and may the 4-3-3 be used for the big games. Injuries to the back line forced Pep to experiment with the 3-4-3, and in my opinion this formation cost FCB in big matches like the second Clásico against Real Madrid. The addition of Jordi Alba will help greatly and ensure a back line of four is always available. My wish is that Tito uses it until it stops working.

Most of all, may this club be focused from day one, hungry to regain their Liga and Champions league titles, and faithful to themselves and their style. Visca el Barça!

Under Pep we all knew what to expect and wish for but now, with the coaching change, nobody really knows what to expect so my wishes (and expectations) have been lowered (but after I wrote them I realized that not by much). I wish for Barça to win at least one Spanish competition and to reach at least the Semi-Finals of the UEFA champions League. With at least four El Clasico's scheduled for this season I also with that Barça doesn't lose more than one of them. I also wish for less injuries this season.

Seasons come and seasons go, the current one is always the most important... Best of luck to our beloved football club.

After all the drama of last season, my wish is a simple one: please can we stay injury-free! No more broken bones, muscle strains and certainly no more surgery, I just hope that the guys can make it through the season unscathed

Messi stays fit the entire season (even the Madridstas don't doubt that he will score a minimum of a goal every two games over the season)

No serious injuries. It is going to be a long, long season and injuries are inevitable but I would love it if Barca got through the season without any really serious injuries(broken bones and ACL for instance).

Villa to score 25+ goals. That would almost automatically mean Barca are doing really well. Injuries allowing, its safe to assume Messi will break the 50 goal barrier(again) and Villa's 25 will win us a trophy without a doubt with less dependence on Messi.

As for results:- I would consider the season a huge success, if Barca won either La Liga or CL and I think Barca are definitely capable of it.'s to hoping Barca have loads of luck!
