Adriano, who missed the trip to Paris on Saturday after he twisted his ankle in training last week, was back with the rest of the group in this morning’s session. Jonathan dos Santos, who did make the game in Paris, worked in the gym on specific recovery work, whilst B team players Sergio Roberto, Tello, Rafinha and keeper Masip joined in the session.

The winger has been linked with clubs such as Arsenal and Inter in the past few months, but he is happy with life at the Blaugrana and is keen to prove himself in Catalunya, according to the representative. "People should not take all these rumours about an imminent transfer too serious," Jansen told Voetbal International. "Leaving Barcelona is not an option at this point. Ibrahim is feeling very well at Barca and is getting playing time."

Jordi Masip signed the contract extension this lunchtime, which will keep him at the Club until June 2015 – two years longer than his current contract which runs through to 2013. The signing of the contract was witnessed by the director responsible for the Barça B, Youth and academy teams, Jordi Mestre, alongside the Director of the Football Sports Area Andoni Zubizarreta.

However, the 42-year-old trainer has now moved to dismuss rumours that the starlet could be set to join his side. "I've never spoken about signing Neymar," he is quoted as saying by Marca. "You journalists are the ones who wrote the stories."

The 27-year-old is currently representing Brazil at the Olympic Games and was asked whether he thought that his decision to sign for the Ligue 1 club would make a negative impact on the Catalan outfit. "Barcelona are a great team and they have lived without Thiago Silva until now, as I have lived without Barcelona. It will make no difference," Silva said at a press conference.

Xabi Alonso and Sami Khedira scored in each half to give Real Madrid a 2-1 win over Mexican club Santos Laguna in a friendly on Sunday. Alonso opened the scoring for Madrid in the 14th minute with a 30-yard strike off an Alvaro Arbeola pass. Santos Laguna equalized in the 25th minute when Cristian Suarez scored from inside the box after collecting a Daniel Luduena pass. Khedira scored the winner when Santos keeper Oswaldo Sanchez lost control of a shot that eventually bounced off Khedira’s face and into the net in the 72nd minute.
