The wait is nearly over. In less than twelve hours, we will find out the winner of the 2012 FIFA Ballon d'Or. Here at Barca Blaugranes, we have put forward a case for each Barcelona nominee, including a case for the departed Pep Guardiola, who is up for the Coach of the Year award. Sam Cooper argued that it's time for Andres Iniesta to receive the recognition he deserves, Guidance Mhlari reminded us of Lionel Messi's incredible achievements in 2012, while Gabriel Roberts brought attention to the lasting legacy that Pep Guardiola has gifted Barcelona.
However, there are of course other nominees. Cristiano Ronaldo has a strong case for the Ballon d'Or after leading Real Madrid to the La Liga title not to mention that both Jose Mourinho and Vicente del Bosque have been more successful than Pep in 2012. With that in mind, who do you think should win the 2012 FIFA Ballon d'Or, and who do you think should be named the FIFA Coach of the Year?
