FC Barcelona stay top of Group H after tonight’s draw in Italy left them on seven points – two more than Milan- at the halfway point in the Group phase. Barça could have been four points ahead had they taken their chances towards the end of the first half, once Messi had equalised Robinho’s early opener.

Xavi Hernández wore the captain armband for FC Barcelona this evening as he led his team-mates against Milan at the San Siro. After the match he lamented the result: "It’s a shame because we created the chances to win the game." However, the midfielder said that the San Siro "is a difficult stadium to play in. We wanted the three points but it wasn’t meant to be."

Tata Martino: "The point is good but we deserved more" | FC Barcelona
"It’s a good point but we deserved more. We only lacked intensity in the first 15 minutes and our punishment was too severe," said the manager. Martino, despite being held to a draw in his team’s last two games (Osasuna and Milan), said that the team is growing: "Our play hasn’t gotten worse and I don’t think we’ve regressed."

The FC Barcelona Juvenil A team showcased its attacking power at the Ernesto Breda Stadium this afternoon in the 2-6 thumping of AC Milan. The Italians were level on points with the Catalans atop Group H coming into this afternoon’s match, now Barça are leaders on nine points.
