Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernández are classics in The Clasico. Together with Migueli, they hold the record of 25 appearances in the league against Real Madrid – more than any other Barça player. They are followed by César (24), Rexach, Rifé, Segarra (21), Asensi (19) and Zubizarreta (18).

Jonathan dos Santos sustained an injury to the ACL in his right knee during this afternoon’s training session at the Ciutat Esportiva. The player will undergo additional tests in the upcoming days to determine the extent of the injury. The Mexican is currently in his second season with the senior team and he’s featured in a total of three league matches since the start of the season (Valencia, Rayo Vallecano and Almería)

Pique was reported to be suffering from a muscle issue while on international duty with Spain earlier this month, and was then rested for Barca’s 0-0 draw at Osasuna at the weekend.

The youngster was shown a second yellow during Rayo Vallecano's 1-0 defeat at Almeria on Sunday, but referee reported that he had ‘argued in a loud voice…for about a minute’ that it was only his first booking. The RFEF’s Competition Committee took a dim view of the player’s actions and have added a further two games to his automatic one-game ban.
