Athletic Bilbao v FC Barcelona: Beaten at the new San Mamés (1-0) | FC Barcelona
Four days after going down to Ajax in the Champions League, Gerardo Martino got another taste of defeat as a solitary goal from Iker Muniain split the sides in the 70th minute of a game that could have panned out very differently had Barça made better use of their several chances in the first half hour.

Tata Martino: "their goal really hurt us" | FC Barcelona
In his press conference after the team’s 1-0 defeat at San Mames this evening, Gerardo Martino insisted that "we were the better side until the 70th minute. What really hurt us was their goal because we had had moments of control and some penetrating attacks".

Basque beating shows why Barcelona must sign in January -
It can hardly be described as a crisis. Barcelona sit top of La Liga with an amazing 40 points from a possible 45 and are through to the second round of the Champions League as group winners. But two losses in the space of five days have taken the gloss off the Catalans' superb season start. Under the surface, the cracks are beginning to appear - and now Gerardo Martino must move to fill them by signing in January.

Busquets: "no need to be alarmed,we just have to carry on" | FC Barcelona
Barça midfielder Sergio Busquets reckoned that one of the keys to the defeat was that: "maybe Bilbao pressed better than us - they are stronger than us and that’s normal". After the team’s first league defeat of the season, Busquets insisted: "there’s no need to be alarmed, we just have to carry on. We have to win the two games left to play this year and learn both from our errors and the things we are doing well".

Look inside the new San Mamés | FC Barcelona
The new San Mamés awaits FC Barcelona. Athletic Bilbao and Barça are about to play their first ever fixture in the Lions’ new stadium, and the FCB kits are already in place in the visitors’ dressing room. The Barça TV cameras have filmed the inside of the brand new stadium, offering you this excellent chance to get an idea of what the facilities are like.

FC Barcelona warm-up at the new San Mamés | FC Barcelona
The players went through their usual warm-up routine before their first ever game at the new San Mamés in Bilbao. This video shows the kind of running exercises and passing drills that teams of all levels and ages around the world will be familiar with. But, of course, when it’s the Barça first team doing them, it’s all the more spectacular.

Cup debut and four training sessions this week | FC Barcelona

Cordoba v FC Barcelona B: Late reward (1-2) | FC Barcelona
Barça B worked well to get the three points at Cordoba. The visitors went ahead with a goal from Dani Nieto and managed to hold the Cordoba onslaught at bay until Mendi equalised in controversial fashion. Espinosa finally earned the sixth win of the season with a late penalty on a day in which Eusebio, who was sent off for protesting Cordoba’s equaliser, was able to celebrate his 100th match in charge.

Historic win for Celtic (0-7) | FC Barcelona
Celtic, Ajax and AC Milan, the clubs in UCL Group H along with Barça, have all won on Sunday. Celtic thrashed ailing Hearts 7-0 in the Scottish FA Cup, the home side’s biggest home defeat for forty years. Commons (3), Brown, Ledley and Lustig all found the net for the ‘Hoops’, who led 5-0 at half-time, which does something to make up for their painful defeat at home to AC Milan midweek.

Madrid, Barca fined for TV deals | Football Espana
For their respective deals, Mediapro have been handed a €6.5m penalty, Real Madrid €3.9m, Barcelona €3.6m, Sevilla €900,000 and Racing €300,000. These fines take into account the length of the contracts signed by each affected party and how they contravene the CNC’s April 2010 resolution.

Real Madrid are reportedly set on removing the controversial ‘Ultras Sur’ supporters’ group from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Since the 1980s the ‘Ultras Sur’ have been generating noise and atmosphere at Madrid home games, while also being involved in offensive chanting, acts of violence and spreading right-wing political views.

Jonas scored after 45, 48 and 53 minutes as the home side finally ground out a win against opponents who had seen captain Francisco Punal sent off in the 16th minute. The win moves Valencia into ninth in the Primera Division table and left Osasuna 16th and three points above the relegation zone.

Bacca guides Sevilla to victory |
Carlos Bacca scored the opener and then teed up Kevin Gameiro's late winner as Sevilla stole a 2-1 victory from their Andalusian rivals Granada. Bacca fired Sevilla into a 23rd-minute lead but when Yacine Brahimi equalised from the penalty spot on the hour it was Granada that looked the most likely winners.

Bueno nicks a point |
Alberto Bueno's injury-time equaliser meant Rayo Vallecano shared the spoils with Real Betis in an exciting bottom-of-the-table clash at the Benito Villamarin stadium which finished 2-2. Betis looked to be heading for their first league win in two months when Joan Verdu scored with 11 minutes remaining, but in the 91st minute Bueno struck for the second time in the game to earn Rayo their first draw of the season.
