"Cuenca is a welcome reinforcement as we still are active in three competitions and not always steady with our wingers," Ajax coach Frank de Boer said after the 4-0 Dutch cup quarter-final win over Vitesse Arnhem. Barca confirmed the deal in a statement on their website and said Ajax did not have an option to buy the player at the end of his loan stint.

Portuguese club Benefica and Granada CF have come to an agreement over the loan of player Manuel Agudo Duran, ‘Nolito’, who will be with Granada until 30th June 2013. The 26 year old player, previously played three seasons with Barcelona ‘B’, joining the first team in his last year.

Levante U.D. has reached an agreement with Bolonia and with Robert Acquafresca, to bring the Italian player (Turin 11/09/87) to the Spanish team. The player will be on loan with Levante until 30th June 2014 and will join the team after the obligatory medical.

Granada have signed Argentine midfielder Diego Buonanotte from La Liga rivals Malaga on a four-and-a-half year deal. Buonanotte, who was also a target of Benfica’s, has only made 18 appearances for Malaga and makes another move having come to Spain from River Plate. The 24-year-old will be presented at the club on Friday.

Malaga have signed Chile midfielder Pedro Morales until the end of the season with the option of extending his stay further, the Spanish club said in a statement on Thursday. The 27-year-old, who arrives on a free transfer after leaving Chilean club O'Higgins, replaces Argentine Diego Buonanotte who was sold earlier in the day to La Liga rivals Granada.

Real Madrid have signed Brazil midfielder Carlos Henrique Casemiro from Sao Paulo on loan with an option to buy. Casemiro, 20, already has five international caps to his name and was reportedly on the radar of several of Europe's biggest clubs, including Paris St Germain and Internazionale. He will begin his career in the Spanish capital with the club's 'B' team in the second division.
