FC Barcelona FW David Villa Admitted to Hospital with Kidney Problem

David Villa will likely miss the next match against Granada due to an infection. The Spanish international scored in his last match but will be out of action until he is back to full health. The Asturian forward has been in good scoring form this season after coming back from a serious leg injury.

David Villa has suffered from a nephritic colic infection and is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital. The FC Barcelona medical staff has stated that Villa is doubtful for the next match against Granada.

The medical staff has confirmed this condition is a result of kidney stones. Though extremely painful, most cases do not have many long-lasting effects.

The all-time top scorer for the Spanish national team, "El Guaje" had missed half of last season as well as the Euro 2012 tournament with a serious leg injury.

But this season, Villa has been in great form in front of goal, tallying 10 strikes across all competitions - good enough for second on the team behind Lionel Messi.
