Leo Messi to renew Barça contract on Thursday | FC Barcelona
Leo Messi will become the latest player to extend his time at Barça after recent weeks have already seen extensions agreed for captains Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernández. On Thursday, the striker, who is currently in Sweden with the Argentina national team, will sign a renewed contract that binds him to FC Barcelona until June 30, 2018.

The Ciutat Esportiva was nearly vacant this afternoon as the international break has claimed most of Barça’s first team roster. The four available first team players - Pinto, Tello, Montoya and Abidal - joined the reserve side for a joint session led by Jordi Roura and Eusebio Sacristán.
