The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 concluded in the previous week and as a result we are now down to just eight teams who will fight it out for Champions League glory in the 2012-13 season. The draw ceremony will begin at 12:00pm CET, and unlike previous rounds, there are no restrictions. This means that teams can draw the very same team that they contested the group stage with (i.e. Real Madrid can now draw Borussia Dortmund - again) and it's possible that we will see two teams from the same country do battle - more Clasicos anyone?
Therefore, Barcelona can be drawn with any one of the seven other clubs left in the draw but unlike previous seasons, we will have to wait until after the conclusion of the quarter-final stage to learn the draw for the semi-final stage. All ties will be split over two legs - home and away - with the first-leg being played on either the 2nd or 3rd of April and the second-leg will be played just a week later on the 9th or 10th of April. Not only that, but unlike the Round of 16, the draw will also decide the format of the ties - i.e. in which order the home and away fixtures will be played.
