It appeared that FC Barcelona would get through the international break relatively unscathed, with only Jordi Alba picking up a short term injury. But it has now been confirmed that Pedro has also picked up an injury, against France yesterday. Pedro suffered a small calf muscle tear that will keep him sidelined for approximately 10 days.
Pedro will definitely miss two games because of the injury, but a third one, against RCD Mallorca, is also possible, with the game being exactly 10 days away. Pedro would've missed the Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain regardless of the injury, because of a one game suspension he picked up as a result of three yellow cards.
Pedro hasn't been in top form this season, scoring seven goals and adding eight assists in 37 appearance, but his hard working presence will be missed. This is a chance for Alexis Sanchez to perform, as he will surely get the bulk of playing time on the right wing during Pedro's absence.
