"I want to make it very clear that the Board stands behind Tito Vilanova while he’s away, we’ll wait for him as long as we have to," declared Mr Rosell. "His recovery is our priority and I’d consider this season a success if he fully recovers from his illness. He will not leave even if it costs us every single title," added Rosell.

During this afternoon’s press conference, President Sandro Rosell confirmed that FC Barcelona will tour Asia this summer. Rosell didn’t reveal the teams Barça will face, but he did confirm the dates and locations of the team’s three exhibition matches.

On Monday, the deal was announced and it was unveiled at the club’s Nou Camp stadium. The agreement starts from 1st July, 2013 and it will run for three years, taking over from the club’s previous partnership with the Qatar Foundation. Barcelona will however keep the UNICEF logo on their kit till 2016, but it will be the first time in their rich 113 years of history, that a corporation will feature as sponsor on the jersey rather than a non-profit charitable organisation.
