Leo Messi took a full part in training on Sunday morning and although he has not yet been declared match fit by Club doctors he has been included in the squad to face Bayern in Munich. Mascherano and Puyol will miss the game due to injury while Adriano is suspended. However, reserve team goalkeeper Oier will make the trip.

Cesc: "La Liga is a very important title" | FC Barcelona

Another night of football at the Camp Nou and another excellent showing from the Cesc-Alexis duo. The two players linked up to score the only goal of the match: Cesc fired the ball into the back of the net after an assist from Alexis. "It was a very important match. We had to win in order to be closer to winning to the title," said the midfielder. Cesc went on to talk about the importance of the competition: "it seems as though there are people that want to detract value from winning the league, but it’s a very important title. We’ve worked very hard."

Hungarian official Viktor Kassai will take charge of Tuesday's Champions League encounter at the Allianz Arena - his second Barca clash of this year's tournament. In addition to 2011's final, Kassai also refereed the Blaugrana's 4-0 Champions League round of 16 win over AC Milan in March, so Catalunya may consider him something of a lucky omen - although his appointment is unlikely to be welcomed in Munich.

Eric Abidal made his first start since undergoing a liver transplant, playing the full 90-plus minutes to help Barcelona defeat Levante 1-0 in the Spanish league on Saturday. It was the 33-year-old defender's first start since playing for France in a friendly against Germany on Feb. 29, 2012. His last start for Barcelona had come three days earlier.

Barça secured three more points in La Liga to come within touching distance of the title. "We’ll go to Bilbao and try to win the game. We will take this one game at a time and as soon as we can win the title, the better," said Jordi Roura after this evening’s match against Levante. "There's no doubt that there’s a lot of merit in winning four out of the last five editions of the competition – if we win this year. This is a very difficult tournament," he added.

Valencia produced an astonishing first half blitz to thrash Malaga 5-1 and boost their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season. After a goalless opening 25 minutes Valencia suddenly went on the rampage with four goals in six remarkable minutes to all but wrap up the win before half-time.

Tottenham will make an ambitious move for former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song if they qualify for the Champions League next season. Song left Spurs’ north London rivals Arsenal for Barcelona in a £15m deal last summer but has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at the Nou Camp.

Mesut Ozil scored twice in Real Madrid's 3-1 win against Real Betis on Saturday as the Spanish side warmed up for their Champions League semi-final against Borussia Dortmund. The German international executed a clever one-two combination with Karim Benzema to score Madrid's opener on the stroke of half-time, before the French striker finished off a counter-attack in the 57th minute from a pass by Cristiano Ronaldo. Ozil struck again in stoppage time after Betis substitute Jorge Molina pulled one back with a penalty in the 72nd minute following a foul by Nacho Fernandez on Ruben Castro in the area.

In Germany, Bayern Munich Wins 13th Straight -

Bayern Munich warmed up for its Champions League first-leg semifinal this week with Barcelona by crushing Hannover, 6-1, on Saturday for its 13th straight victory in Germany’s Bundesliga. Mario Gomez and Claudio Pizarro each scored two goals, and Pizarro also set up two others despite Bayern resting several regulars.
