Will he? Won't he? Does anybody even care any more? Whatever your opinion on the whole "Neymar Saga", it appears as though this arduous ordeal will soon be over. As Luis reported last night (European time), Santos have accepted two bids for their Brazilian superstar, presumed to be from FC Barcelona and Real Madrid - and in the coming days, or perhaps even hours, Neymar will decide where his future lies. Barcelona are considered to be front-runners, exactly as they have been for the past year or more; while Real Madrid are - for once - the outsiders. The player is reportedly not convinced that the Bernabeu is the best place to further his career, but a move to the Spanish capital would significantly boost his bank balance.
Decisions, decisions.
So, while we all wait for his decision, I wondered what you, the reader, would have done in Barcelona's situation. Would you have pulled the trigger and bid for Neymar (while there is no official confirmation, the bid is believed to be in the region of €25 million), or would you have passed up on this opportunity after the first bid(s) were rejected - allowing Real Madrid to swoop in and sign the Brazilian? After all, the arrival of Neymar to Real Madrid would surely signal the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo - which in turn, would surely increase Barcelona's chances of retaining the La Liga title next season? Maybe you just don't think Neymar is good enough to succeed at this level? Voice your opinion on this whole saga in the comments below...
