FC Barcelona News: 11 June 2013; Gamper Trophy Game Announced, Club Legend Leaves Valencia

FC Barcelona have announced that the Gamper Trophy game will be played on Friday 2 August. At this point who Barça's opponent will be is unknown, but one option that is being discussed is Brazilian side Santos.

The European game’s governing body handed the club the 12-month suspension in December for ‘overdue payables’ - money owed. Malaga will reportedly find out by mid-afternoon this Tuesday whether their appeal has been successful. If the suspension is upheld, their Europa League spot will go to the team that finished next highest in La Liga.

The striker revealed on Sunday that he had cancelled his summer holiday in order to discuss a switch to the Premier League.
