La Liga: FC Barcelona vs Levante UD: Predict the Score

New, comments

A chance to predict the score of tonight's La Liga encounter between FC Barcelona and Levante

David Ramos

La Liga is back from it's summer's break and better than ever; last night's opening fixtures saw victories for both the Basque sides, as Real Sociedad saw off Getafe and Athletic Bilbao survived a scare to escape the Estadio Jose Zorrilla with all three points against Real Valladolid. In the night's final match, Valencia's solitary goal in the 64th minute through Ricardo Costa was enough to see off the threat of Malaga. Can FC Barcelona join Sociedad, Bilbao and Valencia at the top of the table with a win tonight?

Given that the Blaugrana are at home to mid-table Levante (based on last season's results), they should really emerge victorious, although football is anything but predictable. Even with the likes of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta, Barcelona are not guaranteed a victory -- and who knows what effect the "FIFA Virus" could have on Gerardo Martino's squad. With an important Spanish Supercopa match in midweek away to Atletico Madrid, Barca will be hopeful for a relatively straight-forward 90 minutes tonight -- do you think they will get an easy start against Levante?

Predict the score of tonight's match by commenting with a prediction below. All predictions must be lodged before kick-off at 19:00 (GMT+1), and only one prediction is allowed per member. Each correct prediction is worth a single point, and the community member with the most points at the end of the season will earn the bragging rights -- oh, and a brand-new (2014/15) Barcelona (home or away) jersey with printing of their choosing.

Two runners-up will also earn themselves a prize: a Barca or La Liga related book of their choosing -- so there really is no excuse not to join in!

Best of luck!
