With ten titles to their name, FC Barcelona are the most successful club in Supercopa de España history, and they have a chance to extend their impressive record this season, against Copa del Rey winners, Atletico Madrid. Given that the Blaugrana lost this trophy last season to arch-rivals Real Madrid, the players must be desperate to reclaim the title, and send a message to the rest of La Liga. Victory against Levante is all well and good, but can Barca replicate that sort of form against formidable opposition, like Diego Simeone's Atletico?
And winning at the Camp Nou is easy, can Barcelona secure a victory at the Vicente Calderon, traditionally one of the toughest stadiums to visit in all of Spain? These are just two of the questions that new Barcelona head coach Gerardo Martino will be looking to answer tonight.
With a virtually fully-fit squad, Martino has the luxury of a few selection dilemmas headed into tonight's match -- selecting two wingers will be a tough ask given the form and reputation of Pedro, Alexis Sanchez and Neymar, while opting for two midfielders from Cesc Fabregas, Xavi and Andres Iniesta seems an almost impossible task. While Simeone is blessed with a choice between Adrian and Diego Costa for example, it's hardly on the same level as Barcelona.
So for that reason, one might expect the Blaugrana to escape Madrid with a win -- whatever your viewpoint of tonight's game is, predict the score of the match in the comments section below to be in with a chance of winning prizes at the season's end. Best of luck!
