Espanyol powers past Valencia as Sociedad grab draw - FIFA.com
Espanyol came from behind to take all three points at home to Valencia and record their first win of the league season. Helder Postiga scored his first goal for Los Che after ten minutes, but Espanyol responded with headed goals from David Lopez and Christian Stuani to take a deserved lead, which they never really looked in danger of surrendering, before substitute Thievy Bifouma made sure of the points in the 89th minute.
Carlos Vela gives Sociedad draw at Elche: La Liga
Carlos Vela scored a 75th-minute equalizer Saturday to give Real Sociedad a 1-1 draw at Elche in Spain, keeping the Basque side undefeated before it completes a critical playoff to reach the Champions League group stage. Elche struck two minutes in when Ferran "Coro" Corominas tapped in a corner kick earned from the hosts' pressure that continued to cause Sociedad problems through the first half.
Gareth Bale has flown to the Spanish resort of Marbella ahead of his transfer to Real Madrid as the world-record fee for the deal was described as "disrespectful" by Barcelona’s new coach Gerardo Martino. Madrid are poised to spend around £86 million (€100m) on securing the Tottenham forward, prompting Martino to declare last night: "Bale is a good player but the numbers that are being talked about; it is a lack of respect for the world we live in."
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has blasted rival Gerardo Martino for questioning the amount of money Los Blancos are prepared to pay for Gareth Bale and dismissed his knowledge of European football. '(Martino) hasn't been here long,' he said. 'He still doesn't understand how football in Europe works nor how his own club works.'

A goal by Ruben Cani six minutes from time was enough to guide Villarreal to a 2-1 victory as it came from behind against Real Valladolid to take all three points as Primera Division football returned to El Madrigal after a 15-month absence.
Yaya Toure: Barcelona were the club of my heart - Goal.com
Yaya Toure says Barcelona were the club of his heart, admitting he never thought he would leave the Catalan giants for Manchester City. "Barca were the club of my heart," the two-time African Player of the Year said. "I had planned to retire there, to stay for many years. I've a lot of love for many people: [Andres] Iniesta, [Victor] Valdes, Xavi, [Sergio] Busquets... we were like a little family. [Gerard] Pique and [Carles] Puyol, too."
Barcelona are preparing a £10million move for Liverpool central defender Daniel Agger. The Catalan giants have been scouring the world for a new centre-back as they prepare for life after defensive kingpin Carles Puyol. They hope a £10m bid for the Denmark international will prove acceptable to the Reds.
