The worst in the group against the second-worst; it's hardly a match to write home about -- neither side has a hope of reaching the World Cup, making this match all but meaningless. That is, unless you're Antonio "Tony" Sanabria. A forward with Barcelona's Juvenil A team, Sanabria is a Paraguayan international at the tender age of 17, and according to some, the young forward may even start tonight's match alongside veteran Malaga forward, Roque Santa Cruz.
Having made his debut as a late substitute for Santa Cruz a few weeks ago against Germany (in a thrilling 3-3 draw), some didn't even expect Sanabria to be called up again -- Paraguay could have recalled star forward and reported Barca target, Oscar Cardozo for instance, or reached out to former Valencia striker, Nelson Haedo Valdez. However, head coach Victor Genes has put his faith in the young star, experimenting with Sanabria upfront alongside Santa Cruz in training, and is perhaps looking to secure his position by building for the future -- Paraguay's future, in which Sanabria is expected to play a starring role.
