La Liga: FC Barcelona vs Levante UD: Predict the Score

A chance to predict the score of Barcelona's La Liga clash with Levante UD

Denis Doyle

With a win on their travels to Valencia tonight, FC Barcelona can temporarily put some breathing space between themselves and Atletico Madrid, as well as the resurgent Real Madrid who yesterday drew level on points with Barça thanks to a 5-0 win over Real Betis. Los Blancos have been far from their dazzling best this season, but are quietly working their way back into contention for the title and another slip-up from Gerardo Martino's men would give Carlo Ancelotti's side a massive boost.

Which is why Martino is expected to name a full-strength side boasting the likes of Lionel Messi, Xavi Hernandez and Cesc Fabregas. The three points are crucial; even if Levante are missing some crucial players, they will be a tough nut to cracking. Barcelona will fancy their chances with the fully fit Lionel Messi, as well as in-form wingers Pedro Rodriguez and Alexis Sanchez. Even B team striker Jean-Marie Dongou will pose a goal threat.

Make no mistake, a repeat of Barcelona's memorable 7-0 opening day win over Levante is unlikely to be on the cards. However, that performance is testament that Barça can overwhelm Levante and reaffirm their title credentials tonight.

If they can cope with the atmosphere at the Ciutat de Valencia and overcome what's likely to be a resilient Levante defense, they will win this game, and probably keep a clean sheet in the process.
