The last time that Levante UD visited the Camp Nou, they returned to Valencia demoralised after an emphatic 7-0 drubbing. Last Wednesday, they were comfortably beaten 4-1 in their own backyard. However, on each occasion, Levante have responded well. First by shoring up that leaky defense that shipped seven goals in the season opener, and now by rebounding with a 3-2 win away to Sevilla at the weekend.
An incredibly impressive victory for Joaquin Caparros and his team, but as great as that win may have been, it's unlikely to inspire an improbable comeback in this Copa del Rey tie.
After all, Levante must either match the 4-1 scoreline from the first leg, or win by four clear goals to force extra time or progressive respectively. And who on earth would back Levante to achieve such a difficult feat? Barcelona may be resting some of their first team, but overall there will be a wealth of quality in the side, with some players like Cristian Tello eager to impress. Of course, Levante will know that all too well after Tello grabbed a hat-trick in last week's first-leg.
Chances are that he will not do it again, but what about Pedro? What about Alexis Sanchez? Lionel Messi? Cesc Fabregas? It seems more likely that another Blaugrana player grabs a hat-trick tonight than it does that Levante progress, which just about says it all.
