The next transfer window opens in January, but that will never stop people from starting the Silly Season before. This time it's like, three months early. Calm down, guys.
Anyways, reports from England suggest that Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba is a target from two Premier League powerhouses: Manchester United and Manchester City. Yeah, sure. Why not?
Here's the full report. Let me clarify: we have NOTHING to do with it:
According to reports the former Sevilla man has a number of offers on the table, with United having been interest in the summer, and now neighbours Manchester City have joined the race for his signature. City's defence has been somewhat shakey in a couple of games this season and they are apparently keen to strengthen at full back. Bosses at the Etihad are reportedly prepared to pay big money for the Manchester United target who is widely regarded as one of the best in the world in his position. Barcelona chiefs know full well how much money City have at their disposal and how willing they are to spend it so a large enough offer will be seriously considered. The only possible sticking point is that Barça are thought to be unwilling to sell unless they can arrange a like for like replacement to be brought in and keep their squad balanced. DAILY STAR! I mean, how reliable is that?
Also, isn't that fitting that the report came the day after Alba got benched by Luis Enrique for one game? But hey, Silly Season, guys!
