Copa del Rey: FC Barcelona vs Real Sociedad: Predict the Score

A chance to predict the score of tonight's Copa del Rey semi-final second-leg clash with Real Sociedad

David Ramos

Real Madrid have booked their place in the final; now all FC Barcelona need to do is avoid a three goal defeat at the hands of Real Sociedad tonight at the Anoeta to do the same and set up a mouthwatering El Clasico final between the two great teams. While Barcelona's Clasico record has been far from convincing over the past three seasons, Gerardo Martino appears to be in the process of turning it back round in Barça's favour, at least that's if the Blaugrana's 2-1 win earlier this season is any indication.

While Real Madrid have improved since then, one could argue that Barça have as well. Alexis Sanchez and Pedro have continued to excel in attack, and Lionel Messi is not only 100% fit, but he is also finding his best form once again. If the two sides do clash in the final, it's going to be a memorable match.

Before Barcelona can turn their attentions to that final, or even next week's UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg match with Manchester City, they must first defeat Real Sociedad in their own backyard. Trips to the Basque Country are never easy, and the Anoeta is no exception. It's likely to be volatile, although the clash with Sevilla on a rain trodden playing surface didn't dampen Barcelona's quality, so Sociedad will have to bring their A game.

And after falling further adrift in the race for a UEFA Champions League place, Jagoba Arrasate may turn his attentions to La Liga, admitting defeat in this tie after an underwhelming first-leg performance. Whatever the case may be, predict the score of tonight's Copa del Rey clash between FC Barcelona and Real Sociedad by commenting with your prediction below. Best of luck!
